Parking Lots Provided for Tegal Parang Urban Village Citizens

The Tegal Parang Urban Village apparatus, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta has banned its citizens to park vehicle on the roadside. To resolve it, they provide parking lots and parking schedule in order to smoothen traffic flow. 

Citizens are urged to park their vehicles at parking lot that has been provided

"Citizens are urged to park their vehicles at parking lot that has been provided," expressed Ahmad Yani, Head of Tegal Parang Urban Village, Monday (5/22). 

Those parking lots are provided on three lands. They are a land belongs to Religion Ministry on Jalan Mampang Prapatan X, RT 04/01, as wide as 2,000 square meters with a capacity of approximately 200 cars, an ex-land of workshop as wide as 300 square meters on Jalan Mampang XIII that can accommodate 15-20 cars and a land on Jalan Mampang Prapatan XIV as wide as 120 square meters that is able to accommodate 10 cars.

"Since it is operated six months ago, cars that parked on the roadside have been minimized now," he expressed.

Aside that, other efforts conducted are by making a time rule where citizens are allowed to park on the neighborhood road at 7 PM-6 AM.

"We allow it, as the road is quiet at that time. We do all this after passing through a long discussion with Transportation Sub-dept. and South Jakarta Satpol PP," he closed.
